What is the best camcorder to use in making amature movies.? me and myfriends make amature movies, and I am in the market for a new camera. What is the best camcorder to get with good quality without getting too expensive? |
| I think the Panasonic PVGS320 is the best cam for the money these days, under $400, 3CCD mini-dv, but no external mic. If you can find a GS300 they have an external mic, you may have to buy used. Or maybe there's another model of the 3CCD Panasonic that has an external mic. |
What's the best way to make adult amature movies? I've been wanting to make some private quality movies with me and some of my partners. This is a huge growing fad and i've noticed some have great quality and sound and some a crap. any info on this would be great. |

How to make an amature adult movie? Sooo, I'm as new to this as someone can get. I want to make a movie with my boyfriend. When I tried to search the web for tips...well, lets just say all I got was a bunch of random sites that were NO help! So to any "experts" out there: what makes a good amature movie. I don't want it to be on the professional level...I'd kind of like it to be hot, but not TOO hot....pointers on lighting, plot, setting etc? |
If you want to make a decent film, remember that they are not filmed straight up. You should do one position from different camera angles, then another position with many angles.
This will mean stopping a lot, but if you want it to be interesting and decent to watch, you need to do this. Try renting some movies and turning off the sound to see the camera angles they use.
Also, for audio, try using an external microphone pretty close to your mouth, as that would be the best way to get good sound. The camera mic is horrible.
Lighting wise, video cameras love light, so the more light the better. If you can, do it outside during the daytime, that way it wont be too harsh. I would say around 10am. You might need to take a few days to make it.
Hope that helps and have fun! |
Ok, so i want to make amature movies right, how do i add effects, i mean like monsters and stuff like that? if any one could give me info on some programs to do so please let me know :) |
| if i am right you are talking about animation. There can be done by using third party softwares like - 3d studio, Maya, etc. after doing the animation it can be integrated with your movie. |

How to get a amature movie on the bigscreen? Ok so we are making a movie. It will be like a documentary/movie but looks very real life. Now i need to know how we can get this movie on the bigscreen all over the world in theartres. Then after that i would like to know how we can put dvds out in stores and stuff. What are the steps on doing this. How much would it cost us. |
You could start off by entering it in a film festival. This could lead to it being shown on the big screen if it good enough.
Here is a list of worldwide film festivals:

What i the best camcorder for a amature horror documentary movie? Ok so i am wanting to make a movie. It will be a horror documentary movie. It will be shot during the day and night pitch dark. And some seens will be shot in the woods. So im wanting to go big with this movie and hope for the best with it. I will be submitting it to film festivals. So i need the movie look really good. What is the best camcorder for this. I am on a small budget. Also where can i get help funding my movie. Like a grant. |
| The technical quality of a movie is usually way down on the list of characteristics that make it popular or award-winning. Spend your budget more evenly on preparation, script, location, editing, direction, actors, etc., instead of blowing it all on a fancy camcorder. And rent the camcorder, don't buy it. |
What is the best camcorder for a amature horror documentary film? Ok so i am making a amature documentary horror film. But i need to know what is the best cheap camcorder i can buy. I will need one that has night vision on it or a IR light on it. One that also has a built in mic. I just need one that is cheap to buy like my budget is just a little over 140 dollars. In movies and music videos you can see yourself in the mirror without seeing the camera. how do they do it? this is all in 1st person view and the actor looks at the mirror and sees himself but the camera is not in the shot. i am an amature at film editing so i would apritiate if the answers werent too confusing thanks. and i use Sony vegas for my editing. |
This is super easy to do, especially because it's first person as well.
First, film the shot of the actor looking in the mirror (use a tripod to make this easier, otherwise in vegas you will have to do keyframing for the next part cos camera will be shaky)
Second, film the actor looking into the camera (like the camera is the mirror. use a tripod)
In vegas, put the first mirror shot you filmed into the timeline. Then put the footage of the actor above the mirror shot in the timeline. Scale down your actor footage, so it fits over where the mirror is on the clip beneath it. Or, you can mask out using the pen tool. Whatever looks more realistic and in proportion from the person looking into the mirror. You can flip the actor clip around too, so then it is backwards like a mirror reflects.
More realistic would be not to use a tripod for the mirror shot, then keyframe the actor shots position so it stays in place.
Have fun :) |
